Here's the history behind these remarkable achievements. 

Ecological aspects of the Tumbledown Project

 

26,000 acres protected -

  •  3,200 acres have been added to Mt. Blue State Park

  • 10,600 acres, including most of the Tumbledown range and its trails,  have been added to Maine's Public Lands system

  • 7,800 acres of working forest north of Tumbledown and 4,200 acres  next to the park have been protected with conservation easements
